Creating Printer Profiles

There are two ways to add profiles:

Method #1: Create printer profiles using the Driver/Profile Repository page

Do the following steps to add a printer profile in the Driver/Profile Repository:

  1. In the tree, click on Tools > Driver/Profile Repository .
  2. Select a driver and click on the Add Profile button.  The "Add Driver Profile" dialog box will open and load a printer profile.
  3. Configure the printer settings as desired and click OK.
  4. The "Add Driver Profile" dialog box will be updated with the current Last Updated: timestamp value, edit the Profile Name with a short description of the profile, and then click in the Comments text box and add any desired comments to describe the device settings and preferences set in the profile. Click Apply.

Important:

Method #2: Create printer profiles in a printer objects "Drivers/Profiles" tab

Do the following steps to add a printer using a printer "Drivers/Profiles" tab:

  1. Click on a printer in the tree, and then select the Drivers/Profiles tab.
  2. Make sure a driver is selected for the operating system and click the Add button above the "Profile" drop down box.  The "Add Driver Profile" dialog box will open and load a printer profile.
  3. Configure the printer settings as desired and click OK.
  4. The "Add Driver Profile" dialog box will be updated with the current Last Updated: timestamp value, edit the Profile Name with a short description of the profile, and then click in the Comments text box and add any desired comments to describe the device settings and preferences set in the profile. Click Apply.
  5. Click the Save button in the upper right corner to save the profile association.
