How to Make a Printer Installer Server be Read-Only or Read/Write

To make a Printer Installer server be read-only, do the following:

  1. Open the <PI Server Root Directory>ConfigSettings.php file with notepad.
  2. Find the following entry:
    GLOBALS::$READ_ONLY=
  3. Edit the entry to be:
    GLOBALS::$READ_ONLY=true;
  4. Save the file.
  5. Verify the server is in read only mode by logging into the Administrator using the server's URL and attempt to make a change. If the server is in read-only mode, you will be shown an dialog stating the server is in read only mode when you login.
