Configuring Printer Installer Administrator LDAP Authentication

Printer Installer Administrator can be configured to allow login authentication using LDAP. Once the LDAP connection information is provided and the AD users or AD groups are added to the Administrative Users list, members of the added objects can login to the Printer Installer Administrator using their AD account credentials. To configure LDAP authentication and add AD users or groups to the Administrative Users list, do the following:
  1. Login to the Printer Installer Administrator with the root account credentials.
  2. Click Tools > Settings > General and browse down to the LDAP section.
  3. Click the Add button and enter the required LDAP connection information.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Click Save.
  6. You now need to specify what AD users or users that are members of groups can login to Printer Installer using AD credentials by doing the following:
    • Click Tools > Users
    • Click Add, type in the name of an Active Directory user or group object, and then click OK.
    • Click Save.
